Who we are
Magna Worldwide, Inc. ("Magna Worldwide", "we", "us") operates magnaworldwide.com and the products offered under it: Magna Academy (online courses), Magna Bureau (news and intelligence) and Denglish Pro (English coaching). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
You can reach us about privacy at any time at [email protected].
What we collect
Account data: your email address, which we use to sign you in with a one-time code. We do not ask for or store passwords for our own services.
Learning and service data: your course progress, lab and exam answers, exam results, the accreditations we issue to you, and the information you send us through our forms, including the problem descriptions submitted through our process.
Billing data: payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers. We receive and keep only what we need to run your subscription: your email, the last four digits of the card, the subscription status and payment receipts.
Technical data: device and browser information, IP address and security logs, collected to operate and protect the services.
How we use it
To provide the services you signed up for: access to courses and content, exams, accreditations and their public verification, and your subscription.
To process payments, prevent fraud and keep accounts secure.
To send transactional email: sign-in codes, receipts and subscription notices, and replies to messages you send us.
To comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting records.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who processes data for us
Stripe processes payments and manages subscriptions and billing. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the payment data it handles: stripe.com/privacy.
Brevo delivers our email, including sign-in codes and service messages.
Cloudflare hosts our websites and protects them against attacks.
These providers process data only on our instructions and for the purposes above. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
Cookies and local storage
We use one functional cookie: a signed session cookie that keeps you signed in to the Academy for up to 30 days. Your course progress is stored in your own browser so you can pick up where you left off. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not build advertising profiles.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active. Accreditation records are kept for as long as the accreditation must remain verifiable. Billing records are kept for the period the law requires. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, export it, and object to or limit its processing. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law. To exercise any right, email [email protected] from the address on your account and we will answer within the time the law sets.
Children
Our services are professional products and are not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will post the new version here and update the date below. The version published here is the one that applies.
